Fix AI labeling directly from the media library
Two small improvements that make everyday use of Img Performer noticeably smoother: fix labeling right from the list view, and 'Optimize all images' now sits where you'd expect it.
Not every update is a new feature – sometimes it’s just an existing workflow getting one step shorter. Two of those made it into this release.
Fix labeling right from the list view
Until now, correcting an image’s AI labeling status manually meant opening it first – for example when automatic detection flagged an image as “AI generated” by mistake. Now you can do it directly from the media library’s list view: clicking the status label opens a dropdown, the change saves instantly, no page reload. For several images at once, there’s also the classic WordPress bulk action – select images, pick the action, done.
”Optimize all images” where you’d look for it
Bulk optimization for existing media library images (PRO) used to sit somewhat hidden inside the Alt Text tab. Now you’ll also find the button in the File Optimization tab and on the Dashboard – closer to where you’d expect it. The description text adapts automatically, showing a relevant note depending on whether a PRO license is active and which AI fields are enabled, instead of a generic one.
Accessibility: alt text suffix reworked
The automatic alt text suffix for AI images (PRO) used to cite the EU AI Act article directly in the alt text, in brackets. A check against WCAG/WebAIM recommendations showed this brings no extra benefit for screen reader users, while making the alt text unnecessarily bulky. The suffix now simply reads ”… (AI-generated).” or ”… (AI-edited).” – the information stays, the bracketed citation is gone.
Bottom line
All three changes are live as of today, Free and PRO 0.3.6. None of them require any action on your part – the new paths simply exist alongside the previous ones.
