# Img Performer

> Img Performer is a WordPress plugin by Enfants Terribles digital GmbH. It automatically converts uploaded images to WebP (Free) and AVIF (PRO), locally on the customer's own server — no API key, no third-party service, no cloud upload. Free also detects AI-generated images on upload and applies the AI labeling required by EU AI Act Article 50 (machine-readable, plus a visible frontend badge). PRO additionally generates AI-written alt texts for accessibility compliance (EAA / German BFSG), runs bulk conversion and retroactive AI labeling for existing media libraries, and provides WP-CLI commands.
